Just a Heads UP!!!! |
|
There are talks that 5 major events could be coming to Sarnia next year...#1 is a TBBA Bass qualifier...#2 is the TBBA Bass Classic...#3 is a Bassmania Event...#4 is the WFN returning, and if negotiations go well a pro walleye event also. This a very positive thing to Sarnia Lambton to help boost the tourism in Sarnia. The city and Sarnia Lambton Tourism is very responsive with all these events....this also gives the local anglers a time to shine in these events. Will keep you all posted with Dates and info as it comes forward to me. Thanks for all the support!!!

Hey Orval all I can say is that the company is CSFL....the most popular circuit in the Kawarthas....100+ teams in some of the events.

I have spoke with Andy Palotta about bringing a walleye event to this area and hope this happens. It would be good for the CSFL to bring some walleye events to the SW before their bass events start at the end of June. The only early event they have is a pike event early June.
So he could do 3 events here before his regular season kicks off. Det River-April Erie-May and SCR or LSC June??
http://www.csfl.ca/
We may want to engourage Andy and his team to come south. Andy lives in Stouffville.
Deerbrook Marina will also be holding an "Angler-Young Angler" bass tournament held July 11. Limited to 50 pros and 100 young anglers. 1 pro with 2 young guns under 18.

Hi Bob, I had spoken to Andy last week and this is something that I keep bringing up with him.....Hopefully he will make the trip and the investment to come south. Until then, maybe this is something that will be picked up by a another tournamnent organizer to get it off the ground. With the slow economy and costs of running tournaments and entry fees the anglers and sponsorships just are not committing like in the past.

Paul if it is walleye on the SCR I've got as good of chance as anyone, I won't be embarrassed at the weigh in that is for sure. I will need a partner you know if this derby comes to town.....
