 New member looking for tips |

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum, but I've always loved to fish since i was a child.
Over the past two years, I've really grown fond of fishing, but I'm still not very skilled at it.
I was at Fanshawe lake in London last week and found that just by trolling with go getters and fake leeches, I was able to reel in 3 nice sized walleye.
This week, I went to the cabin just east of Parry Sound and had very limited success trolling. I was able to get quite a few smallies that were definitely in the "throw back" range by casting into rock drop offs, however only one small Pike over 3 days.
I'm wondering if someone could give me some advice on how to catch some of these predator fish (walleyes and pike.) i tried 4 different lakes and was using worms with a go getter and gulp leeches. i tried different amounts of split shots and generally trolled around islands and weed beds. Even still, I had limited bites while trolling.

let me know if your going to fanshawe again. i have a few spots there and some special baits that work well for trolling i can show you.
heres an eye we got just a week or so ago there.

Nice picture Tracker_kid and good gesture trying to help others.
You should enter this picture to the Skunk weekly contest.
Stu, try and get a couple of floating Rapalas they work on any fish trolling in small lakes.
You can add split shots to control depth while trolling them also.

thank s for all the replies! i will be out at the thames river after dinner on tuesday night in delaware if anyone is in the area. Was going to try some floating lures (not sure what they're called) and also maybe a floating jig with a bottom bouncer rig to keep the jig off the bottom. Anyone tried that combination before witha ny luck?
