It was nice back in the day when we could afford gas.... you know the handles in cars above the doors for helping you in and out... I installed two of those in the boat for the passenger for added confidence........ lol mine had a bigfoot gas peddle... no baffles in the headers so it shook glass giong out the channel in Puce...... lol I came in one night just after dark and that type of boat didn't have light... who do you think was coming out at that exact time... ya coast guard with one driver and 3 guys standing along my side of the boat just eyeing me up as we passed....
I sold it to a buddy that still has it best I know......

My fountain would hold 500 gallons of fuel she was set up as a smugler, I bought her at a customs auction. I could make it from Sarnia to Cedar Point cruising 50 mph and Back to Belle Isle (with my fingers crossed) and have to Refuel. Anything much past half throttle fuel consumption was out the window she would do very close to 80 mph at full throttle and that was in the early 90's there was not a faster rig on the water around here that I knew of of that size.

nice it was loud and with the jet you could push it threw the floor and not worry about spinnig a shaft. over rev. was a possibility but its a toy right......
now what is a wright??? samy style is mine?? your engine face forward??? alot were reversed.......

See now somedays I wish I had kept or found another one similar just to play with... I always wonder what I could have done to it??? I had distrib. and points.. I seen a boat like mine for sale during the time I had mine, this boat had a beautiful paint and interior, almost like it was never used.. closed in 427 motor, but all electric ignition and stuff... Maybe too pretty? not raw and hard core like mine.... mine might not have shown as good as others, but when it was spitting water it showed just fine....... lol
Cant you redesign and drop in a big block into your fishing boat??

MSD exactly, the prob was I just baught a house, jeep and that boat of course, and twin boys... (black labs) but twins either way and was strapped for money to do a major job as to re wiring the engine for a change over... This engine was a 460ci and came out of a 1973 or 78 ford bronco, so technology back then was on the cutting edge... this engine was on the other edge though...... lol
